Black Ops 7 Zombies list keeper's challenge is a limited time Zombies mode that is tied to the Naughty and Nice event. It entered the game in December 2025.

This mode is like a winter test run, where the frost counts and the List Keeper requires that you do things inside the game.

Finders Keepers LTM - how the run is structured

The bo7 codes game is played using riddles. After the answer has been triggered, the screen displays a line that gives hints about the next step.

The ten List Keeper challenges are completed in the correct order.

The holiday rules - freezing pressure and present economy

List Keeper's Challenge uses the same core winter mechanics as Jingle Hells. Outdoor time increases freeze pressure while lit barrels serve as warmth points, and snowballs are available throughout the map.

When Zombies are killed by Cryofreeze, snowball freezing, or Zombies, a present will be dropped. The present can then be opened to reveal weapons and equipment. Rarity increases as rounds increase.

The Naughty or nice Power-Up will appear and can result in a Ravager Swarm or a small burst for the Picker.

Quest swap - why the mode feels different from normal Zombies

This mode disables the main quest content and replaces it with ten challenges. The run is then focused on the List Keeper’s trials, rather than map secrets.

Pack-a-Punch and Power are already active at the start of the match, so early rounds will be able to move directly into the challenge chains.

Pace control - why early rounds matter

While the mode allows for the squad to complete challenges at their own pace, the boss fight becomes difficult when the run drifts late into the rounds. The clean plan, then, is to finish the chain as soon as possible while keeping the round count manageable.

In solo or co-op, a small step of discipline can help. Keep one weapon without Ammo Mods early and defer perk choices which could add additional elemental triggers to the game until after you have completed your critical streak test.

Trial 1 - ignite the six barrels

List Keeper's first challenge requires that six barrels be lit outside. Barrel icons appear on the tac map so it becomes a quick rotation rather than a search.

The barrels will be important again, as the freeze pressure outside increases and the barrel heat provides a stable anchor during outdoor timers.

Trial 2 - prove one weapon can be upgraded

The second challenge requires that a weapon be upgraded to Pack-a-Punch, an Ammo Mod, and a rarity mod on the same weapon.

The co-op experience is smooth, as only one player needs to complete this step in order for the lobby's progress. This allows the other players to hold the space while the spawns are controlled.

Trial 3 - free the trapped dead from snowmen

The third challenge involves zombies trapped in snowmen. Snowmen appear on the tac map. So the loop is an icon-by-icon sweep until there are enough zombies trapped.

The rule is simple - the counter only moves when the zombie appears from the snowman. Snowmen that are only there to loot will waste time and not advance the trial.

Trial 4 - Mystery Box kills under ammo pressure

The fourth challenge is to kill with a weapon from the Mystery Box. During this step the mode will also disable Ammo Caches, making ammo management a part of the survival.

The best way to ensure a steady approach is by choosing a weapon with a full capacity, and then using controlled bursts of fire, as well as planned refills. This will allow you to increase your kill count without having any sudden empty clicks.

Trial 5 - Fire Works Ammo Mod kills

The Arsenal is able to provide the Fire Works Ammo Mod through its salvage purchases, so that the run can lock it early and continue farming the zombie count.

Clean pattern requires patience, clean shooting, and consistency until the total is completed.

Trial 6 - equipment damage kills

Max Ammo can be used to refill equipment, speed up progress and keep the loop going.

Kazimir is a good choice for this test because it can control a crowd, while the equipment damage builds up. The match can also convert existing drops into additional equipment chances.

Trial 7 - survive outside for five minutes

The timer outside requires five minutes, and it pauses if the kills stop. This means that the run must be under constant pressure, with clean spawns close to a lit barrel.

During the trial, Essence Gain, Item Drops, and Power Ups are disabled. The match economy is frozen and survival is dependent on clean gun control and positioning.
